I haven't looked for banns.  How do I do this on the internet?  I live in Australia so can't go in person to the Dorset county records office.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi corblimey,
I think this is one time a Birth Cert of one of the Children born post 1837 is a necessity.
One of these will confirm Marthas maiden name.
MATILDA Baglin, March 1840, Marylebone, 1 144
MARTHA CHARLOTTE Baglin, September 1842, St Marylebone, 1 142

Martha was born 18/July 1842 and Christened 07 August 1842
Matilda was born 15/Jan 1840 and Christened 01 March 1840
Both at Holy Trinity, Saint Marylebone, London, England
(IGI Extracted)
I see in 1851 they are under Bagan.

Trish :)

Frederick George Clayton
« Reply #4 on: Saturday 13 August 11 07:24 BST (UK) »
I am looking for an elusive family member, Frederick George Clayton born 1869 in St George Westminster to Thomas and Ellen Clayton.  He is on the 1901 and 1911 census (think it is him as he is not married) but I can't confirm a marriage or births of children.  Also would like to confirm the deaths of his parents, Thomas and Ellen Clayton (born Yorkshire 1820 and Walcot, Bath 1832 respectively).  Can anyone help please?

I cant see the marriage in Dorset. I can see from 1813 onwards.

I will suggest that you put your last in a new thread, peeps are less likely to see it here.

Many thanks for checking the Dorset marriages, much appreciated.  I can eliminate that county now.  I have reposted the rest of my message to a new topic.  Thanks again! :)

Baglin Marriage 1827-1832
« Reply #7 on: Saturday 10 December 16 00:59 GMT (UK) »
I am still searching for the marriage of Thomas Baglin (born Uley 1809) and Martha Ricketts (born Dorset 1809).  The most likely dates are 1827 - 1832 and most likely places would be Dorset, Devon or Somerset.  Their first children were born in Bath, Somerset.   If anyone can help I would be most appreciative.   :)

Sorry, just realised that Dorset registers have already been checked.
