Hello, looking for any information on the Switzer family - Ireland.   The father's name was Eugene Switzer and Mother: Catherine O'Grady.
Daughter: Mary Ann Adeline Switzer born about 1838.

This information is not specific to query but it might be of some help. Switzer is in fact a Palatine family name  and many of these families settled in the Limerick/ Adare area. These Palatine families are very well documented  - to my knowledge there is a Palentine Assocation based in Rathkeale Co Limerick

I have quite a bit of information about Eugene (Owen) Switzer and his family, also his brother Frederick and his family. I used to collect all the information I could find about Australian Switzers as my maiden name was Switzer and my father's family came originally from Co. Limerick. I have certificates, land records and photos of Eugene's family houses. Some of this information was published in a book " Poverty to Promise, the Monteagle Emigrants 1838-58" by Chistopher O'Mahony and Valerie Thompson. I would be very happy to post you all this information, although it will take me a little time to sort it out. I could also send you a printout from my computer file.  I live in Brisbane now.

Hi, This may be a help, this is a couple of lines from a list.

SWITZER   Frederick      1850   39   Golden   Peter / Johanna   both dead   Son = Peter per "Elizabeth"   Ship =   Lord Stanley
SWITZER   Johanna      1850   17   Golden   Frederick / Catherine   living in Golden   Uncle = Owen Switzer near Sydney.   Ship =   Elizabeth
SWITZER   Maurice      1850   18   Golden   Frederick / Catherine - on this ship.   {also Michael,16;Mary,14;   Catherine,12 & Mother Cath,38 of LI   M}   Ship =   Lord Stanley
SWITZER   Peter      1850   19   Golden   Frederick / Catherine   living at Golden   Uncle = Owen Switzer , Sydney   Ship =   Elizabeth
Where is says...….& Mother Cath,38 of LI   M         it means she was from County Limerick.

Some years ago I got this information for a family in Australia.
We will be in Golden next year as we have some items for the Museum, I will look and see if the are any Switzer graves.
