they married in 1903 but i cant seem to find any other info on them only they had a son in 1916 called clifford james and he remembered living in de-barrie st rhydyfelin then his mother died when he was about 2 then he moved to his aunties in llanhilleth abertillery.I cant find no record of his parents anywhere.

that is them what i need to find now is where Charles was born the only one that fits was living in abertridwr in the 1911 census but i dont have the full details just the basics IE;3 females and 1 male thank you so much for your help.but you had them in Monmouth in 1911 I am confused!!!

There is a Charles and Ethelinda James on the 1911 census in 1911 in Monmouthshire - cannot post details against the 1911 Census.

An Ethelinda Lewis' birth was registered in Pontypool, Monmouthshire. An Ethelinda James' death was registered Pontypridd, Glamorgan. (NOTE - it's the MAR Qtr 1920 - not Dec Qtr 1919 I originally posted).

Clifford James returned to his Aunt in Abertillery, Monmouthshire after the death of his mother.

So there is a strong connection with the County.

The Ethelinda James on the 1911 Census fits with the age of Ethelinda Lewis, born Pontypool 1878 and  the Ethelinda James, died Pontypridd 1920.
