I have found Hugh Fearns married 1912 Beith,Ayrshire,not sure where the rest of them have went.

Hi Fiona in 1891 they are in Bo'ness as follows.

Michael Fearns 48 born Ireland
Sarah  wife 39 born England
William son 25  unmarried born Glasgow
Margaret 12 born Glasgow
James 7 born Glasgow
Hugh 2 born Bo'ness

Looking at son William's age either his or Sarah's is wrong or he is a son from a previous marriage.

Well he took some finding Fiona but here you are.

Michael Fearns died aged 61 on 13 February 1900 at Grangepans,Carriden.

Wife's name was Sarah Cooper.

Father Peter Fearns.They don't seem to know his mother's name.

Cause of death pneumonia,informant was his son William.

Have just noticed on the 1901 census shilo found that Sarah has two boarders named Cooper,are they possibly relatives.The elder is about the right age to be her brother.
