Klust from PreuBen to London
« on: Thursday 11 August 11 11:38 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace Charles Oscar Klust.  I have him on the 1861, 71 and 81 census' in London.  I have his marriage in 1857 to Isabella Harding.
The census records say he was born in PreuBen  Hirsckberg in 1830. His Fathers name was Ernest.
How would I find out when and how they travelled from PreuBen to London.

Thank you

Well now I am a little confused
mar qtr 1857 has Charles Oscar Klust with 5 womens names...NONE are Isabella Harding

so I then looked for Isabella Harding marriage 1857

mar qtr 1857 Isabella Harding to Oskar Klust

I am tempted to think that Charles Oscar Klust and Oskar Klust are 2 different people...otherwise , why isn`t Isabella Harding named as a possible wife for Charles Oscar Klust ?

can someone else have a look please on freebmd and see if I may be making a mistake somewhere...I would say that Isabella Harding married Oskar Klust - and not Charles Oscar Klust.....another pair of eyes needed please

Hi,
Are you still investigating this?
My Mothers name was Doris Ivy JAMES (nee Klust) who sadly passed away on 8th April 2018 aged 96 years... and I have done a great deal of work on Klust family /area of Hirschberg, Prussia/Harding family etc
Regards
Ray James

Hi mondo99

Welcome to Rootschat  ;D

Debbie (Ellis1813) hasn't been online here since November 2016 but as long as her email address hasn't changed, she should receive an email notification that you have posted and hopefully come back soon.

The German for Prussia is Preußen [Preussen on a tripewriter that doesn't have ß], not "PreuBen" !
