10 year search
« on: Tuesday 16 August 11 22:53 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I am trying to find out what happened to my G.G.Grandfather......He was William Henry Tayler from Charfield in Gloucestershire, the only son of John and Ann Tayler of Falfield Gloucestershire, and born in 1861.

He is on the 1901 census but not the 1911, his last son with his wife Ellen was born in 1903.

All I know is that he left Britian between 1903 and 1911, No remaining family left has any idea where he went though I did manage to find that one of his Sisters went to America for two years.

Also know that when he died which could have been in the 1930s a letter was sent to his wife to say that he had died.
Not a lot of information about him as all photo's and anything else was burnt, G G Granny had a struggle to bring up 8 living children on her own and he was not talked about.
Any help would be welcome and Thank You.
 Thereza.

Hi Thereza,

There is a passenger record that a Wm Tayler left in 1902 going from Liverpool to New York.  It's on findmypast passenger search but you have to pay to see the image or record.
