Burial look up please - Maerdy Ferndale Cemetery?

Hello

Would appreciate a burial look up please.

Died 13th April 1909
Sarah Ann HEMMINGS (nee Prothero/e) and her daughter Beatrice May HEMMINGS
Died in a house fire. 
A lot of their family lived in the Maerdy, so guessing Sarah and daughter did also?

Her death was registered in the Pontypridd registration district - ages 22 and 2 respectively

As regards to the Ferndale Cemetery between Ferndale and Maerdy. It has been terribly neglected. I tried last year to find the graves of my Granparents without success. I noted in one of your postings that you had information from Pontypridd with regard to the positions of plots. Perhaps you could let me know where you got this information from as I am working on my family tree. I have family interment records but it would be nice to actually see the graves.

hi i have relatives buried at maerdy cemetery also,,,,,,, the sexton at the cemetery was very good in looking up details in records for me,,,,, and a plot map of the exact spot where they were,,, its worth a try!

To update  :
I received a personal message suggesting I try Pontypridd Library.
Contacted them and received a very quick reply with a copy of the Newspaper story covering the Fire.

Bitter sweet and much sadder than we all thought but at least we know.
