The only marriages the GRO have before 1864 are non-Catholic - which were registered from 1845 on.

That record you found seems to be an extracted RC church marriage.

You can check a map of the Roscommon RC parishes on the Irish Times website - see : RC Parishes, Roscommon

I dont see one named 'Ardcarn And Tuamna'

found the parish - it's listed in the NLI index as Ardcarn & Tuamna (Cootehall)

Cootehall is shown on the Irish Times website map in the north east of the county. Records are on NLI film Pos. 4612, and also seem to be available though FamilySearch/LDS centres. Baptism and marriage records for the parish go back to 1843.

....
I did a search on Roots Ireland and they have it, but a bit wary now after reading feedback regarding their transcriptions.
...

for an RC marriage of this time I would expect the original record to show the date of marriage, the full names of the bride and groom (possibly in Latin), probably the names of two witnesses and maybe a place of residence for bride and groom. Additional details are rare ...

Shane,
Thanks for all that Information. Really appreciate it.
What your saying makes sense as other records refer to Boyle also which is right next to Cootehall.
Bit disappointed that there would be no parents names as I've found 4 possible baptism records for Mary (Maria),
which would have taken me back another generation.
Will order the Breslin certificates that I'm definitely sure about for now.
Was interesting to click the blue batch number link on that record as it lists all names on that film in alphabetical order. There are a few other Kilalea's married around the same time that could well be relatives.

You could be lucky and find additional details such as fathers names in the register, but not many of the early RC records show this level of detail.

It is worth checking out the microfilms of the records if you ever get a chance, just to be sure. One of the parishes some of my ancestors lived (Lusk) included all sorts of extra details on marriages during the late 1850s/early 1860s, including not just father's name but also mother's name...doesn't happen very often, but you never know..

I have recently found a few more records for this family now.
Only Brother I can't trace is Patrick Breslin.
I think I found his Prison Record. Can anyone tell me what sort of info you can find in a Prison record.
