Sgt Gilbert Brown 1870
« on: Wednesday 31 August 11 17:46 BST (UK) »
A sergeant in the 1st Linlithgow Volunteers circa 1870 and married to Margaret Brown (Maggie) had two children.

Can anyone help with any information  on Gilbert and his family?

Many Thanks

Margaret Brown (75)

Hi,

I think it is - on another post by Margaret I gave her details from his army records and the marriage was to a Margaret with a very similar surname that I could not fully read.
His father was John and it stated that he was born Boness 1858! (and hisoccupation was a miner)
