« on: Wednesday 31 August 11 19:15 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am looking for any information if available on my gt gt uncle William Henry Cox born 1894C Herefordshire England moved to Wales/Tredegar married Margaret Ann Fleet 1914,  children Thomas Henry 1915, Emrys vernon 1917, Phylis 1918, Ronald 1920, Betty 1921, Louisa 1923. The family emigrated to canada in 1920 but all children were born in Tredegar Wales, have found passenger lists of the family coming to the uk and back at various times no father with them.

Are ther any census returns available, on one passenger list it says father living fernie B.C

Grateful for any help/advice!

Thanks.

This must be his Birth entry, but I cannot see him on the England or Wales 1901 census!

Births Sep Quarter of 1894
~~~~~~~~
Cox,  William Henry    Ledbury District  6a 412
Do you have his Marriage Certificate naming his Father?
In the 1911 census index there is a plain Henry Cox c1895 born Ledbury, living in the Bedwellty District of Monm' (where he married). You will have to obtain credits to view his household.
However, now I look again at the Ledbury area in the 1901 census there are some excellent correlations with this family and the Bedwellty index 10 years later.
RG13 Piece 2471 Folio 10 Page 12 in Homend Street
all born in Ledbury.
Thomas Cox 34 Head Bricklayers Labourer
Elizabeth Cox 32 Wife
Annie E Cox 13 daughter
Thomas Cox 11 son
Florence Cox 10 daughter
George Cox 8 son
Harry Cox 6 son
Alfred Cox 4 son
Gertrude Cox 2 daughter
Ernest Cox 7 Months son
From FamilySearch death of William Henry Cox
I didn't look for any children but information on them might also be available from FamilySearch.
Canada follows the same census pattern as England.  The next census release will be the 1921 census in a few years time.  The United States has released their 1930 census which you might be confusing with Canada.
Too many Cox surname to distinguish more, but the parents appear to be buried here...pge 2&3
Someone might be able to do a lookup to determine who gave the info for the father at death.
You can also write through the same site above for cemetery details
