Hi Sandra,

Thanks for all your help as always.  Are you able to find any of them travelling on the boat to the USA?

Thanks

Kieran

Rose McKenan    Philadelphia, PA    1912  30  sailing on the ship the Celtic from Liverpool on the 26 September 1912

I would be very grateful of any help you can give me with this

Isn't this more in line with the Mary McKernan on the 1900 Census with the Gardiners:

May 2, 1898 from Londonderry to NY

Mary Ann Mckernan age 20, dressmaker, last residence Creggan, contact in US is Aunt, Mrs. Mullan in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Davey ... Fowler ... Jones ... Morrow ...

Hi Merjones,

Thanks for all your help.  Is there any chance of getting any passport applications for these two as it will help me know if they are the correct people.

The Mary and the Rose came from Drumderg Draperstown and thats where my grandparents lived so any help with this would be great as so far I have been hitting a brick wall.

Thanks for all your help

Kieran

Hi Kieran,

Not everyone has passport applications - I don't think passports were required for entry into the USA until about  World War I. - someone will correct if that is wrong.

The history of the United States Passport

Never discovered any earlier in this thread. Sorry. Sandra

Hi Sandra,

Thanks for all your help.  Is there any way on getting more information on Rose or Mary?

Or the John McKernan that Mary went to?  Can they be found in the census?

Thanks

Kieran
