Hi Hanes,

Thank you for that marriage. It just might be the one I am looking for when I receive the birth certificates. Ann was born in Llanedy. So fingers crossed.

Thanks again

Pauline

Hello Pauline  :)

Glad you're back with your new knee  :D
Let us know once you get the certificate details. Carmarthen RO are brilliant!

Hoping that Omega enjoys the trip to Pembrokeshire and finds lots of family graves.

Kind Regards
Morgan

Hi All,

The long awaited for certificates arrived today and the reason I have been ordering the wrong certificates for Ann is because she was called Anne the same as her mother. Anne's mother's maiden name was Morris so it looks like Hanes was correct with the 1834 marriage. Thank you so much for finding that.

On Ann's Queensland death certificate in 1921 the imformant (son-in-law) has her mothers name as Margaret Maurice and this has caused a lot of wasted time. Looks like the first name was wrong and the Maurice should have been Morris.

The Carmarthen RO office were very helpful and I will definately use them again.

Thank you all once again for your wonderful help. It is very much appreciated.

Pauline

glad that has worked out for you in the ned. It goes to show not to rely on what we perceive to be the 'correct' spelling as names were spelt as the clerk or cleric recorded them.
