Thank you so much for the information.   I am new at this type of research and have no idea where / how to start.

You refer to a register and 3 locked persons - what is the register please.  I assume 3 locked persons refers to not allowing their name to be known.

George

Hello Mo

I have just accessed the info which I assume you have read. It states that Joachim Kurt Martin Kretschmer from Munich can be safely left in "C" as his sympathies are entirely British.

The address he gives is definitely "The Beeches", Hartford, Cheshire.

Regards
Gill

Hi there

Did they take in lodgers?  I ask this because my son-in-law's grandfather fled Nazi Germany in 1939 - 1940 (German Jew) and his first address was listed as The Beeches, Chester Road, Hartford.  He was a student Electrical Engineer.

Mo

Hi Mo. Joachim Kretschmer is my paternal Grandfather. I do not have a relationship with my father (name - Robin Kretschmer) but I’d love to talk and find out our connection and what you have learnt.
Many thanks,
Hannah

My relatives lived at "The Beeches", Hartford, Cheshire. I don't know how I missed this. Probably because I always thought of it as "Northwich".

Please contact me per "private message" and we can decide what should be "public".

Thank you
