Hi heddwch
I found the site very interesting but I don't think it is the same; I have seen the word 'Apollo' used on several different choirs, although strangely enough I read an article today in the pages of an old Merthyr Express dated 1922 about a function held at the Royal Hotel, Bargoed in connection with the Apollo Glee Singers.  The occasion was a supper and presentation for Ernest Hares of Brithdir who was their accompanist in appreciation of his services to the singers.  He was leaving for a tour of America with a quartette from the Ebbw Vale district.......what a coincidence.
