Hi Lizzie
Thanks for posting photo.  I agree it does look a very well cared for cemetery unlike many others I have visited.
I'm pleased to know that my ggrandparents are resting in such a nice spot.
Hoping to make trip to Allenvale next year.

Aberdeen citizens and the local media would be up-in-arms if our cemeteries were neglected by the council. It's never been an issue in the city nor the shire.

"have sent you email with maps attached, hope you find your bearings ok."

lindy-lou, just curious, but where did you get the map from. Was it the Aberdeen Archives.

Malky

Hi Nikki
if you make another couple of posts you will be able to personnal message me with your email address....I'll be happy to send you map, it shows where sections are but no layout of plot numbers.  The only area I have plot layout for is section X

Hi Malky
Map came along with plot number details after I requested a look up from Aberdeen Council.

I've got a map too, I just sent an e-mail to Aberdeen cemeteries to see if they could advise me where my grandfather was buried - I had his date of death.  They e-mailed be back with information about which cemetery it was (Allenvale) plus the grave reference (unfortunately no gravestone) and a map of the cemetery - it was split into 4 as it is so large.  Then to follow that up, they sent me all the details by post and all for free.

Thank you, Lindy-lou. I have family buried there, but have never found them. I'm off next week to do a bit of digging at the council.
