Ellis of Talyllyn
« on: Friday 14 October 11 07:22 BST (UK) »
I wonder if anyone could tell me about the fates of William (1816 -1894 ?) and Margaret Ellis (1833 - )
of Talyllyn , and their three children William ( 1862), Jane ( 1865) and Sarah (1869) .
William was a quarryman from Llanddeiniolen, Margaret was from Tywyn, and the children appear to have been born and  raised in Corris.
Owen , Parry , Pritchard, Foulkes  o Llanddeiniolen
Jones, Bellis o Sir Fflint
Williams o Beaumaris
Chambers o Dulyn
Rowlands o Tywyn

I think that this is what's left of the Talyllyn household in 1901

Meiniau(?) House, Talyllyn
RG13/5253/27/4

Catherine Owen, s, 55, b. Towyn
Robert Earnest Ellis, son, s, 11 (No pofb details) - I assume that he was the one down as grandson on the 1891
Edmund Davies, boarder, s, 18, tailor, b. Llanwyddelen, Mont

Not got any definites for the two daughters so far.

Sarah Anna in 1891

25 Queen Street, St John, Cardiff
RG12/4391/107/15

I don't see a Head and it looks as if it's  staff accommodation.

Sorry but I've come in rather late on this one.
William & Sarah Ellis are at "old" Rehboth Cemetery, Corris & are buried in seperate plots. Margaret Ellis of Ralltgoed, Corris & wife of William Ellis died on the 5 August 1871.
William Ellis of Pensarn, Aberllefeni died on 8 February 1895 aged 79.
Hope that helps.
