St Josephs Orphanage for Boys
« on: Saturday 15 October 11 00:01 BST (UK) »
Hi

Would anyone know if there would be any records for admission to St Josephs Orphanage for Boys, Abbey House, Romsey?

In the 1901 census there were:

James Wilding, Boarder, S, M, 7, Pupil Orphan, Hampshire Aldershot
Henry Wilding, Boarder, S, M, 5, Pupil Orphan, Hampshire Aldershot

I can't find a birth for them in FreeBMD.

Cheers

Hi Alastair

It might be worth trying the following website - www.romseynet.org.uk - there are some historical enquiries about St Joseph's orphanage.

Best wishes
