Hi,
I'm looking for a Thomas Gambier. I think he was born in 1783 in Maine and came over to England sometime before 1806.
Any help would be appreciated  :)

Please can you contact when picking up messages.
Thomas is in my line but I am puzzled/intrigued where you get Maine from as none of us here have a "start" for Thomas.
Many thanks in anticipation
Reg Gambier

Hi,

I'm also searching for country of origin of Thomas Gambier. I'm a descendant of his and have read that a) He originates from The Gambia (Which I've discounted as I've had DNA test which places him in the West Africa, Nigeria area.) b) That he was a servant in the household of Lord Gambier who's surname he adopted which sounds more plausible.

Any info. would be great.

Thanks

Rob
