Nora doesn't appear to have married according to the death record but could of course have reverted to her maiden name  ???

Nora Backhouse. 29 June 1934 and died 2 Feb 2004
Last Residence: 11697  Far Rockaway, Queens, New York.
SSN issued: New York (1951)

Parents marriage which you probably already have -

Nora last appears in 1952 on passenger lists.  Maybe we might learn more about Nora when the 1940 Census comes out in a few months time.

" Nora had served as a Sacristan at St. Thomas More Church " Wonder if it is worth contacting them to see if you could glean any further information.  Perhaps the cousin went to the same Church  ???

 WOW Sandra;
 you did it again,,I am so grateful for all this info,
funny about cousin Nora,family history was her middle name is
Wilson after her uncle Archie's wife Jean(her maiden name) Nora's
father Joe,(Archie's brother) sailed as crew on the "Cameronia"
a few times with my father,from Glasgow to NYC in 1920's ,,,,

We did not know Nora never married, ::) and I do not recognise
the name 'Tait',however looked at the 'obit' notice and got it from
there so will check it out,maybe someone married outside the clan
of Backhouse,, ???

Will also try and see if the church can tell me anything,,will keep ya
posted,,bunch of thanks again,, ;D

Kind regards;
Janey; :)
