Offer: Maesteg/Plasnewydd School Registers

Another one I now have!

Lists admissions from 1892 to 1930. Some of the scans are pretty much unreadable, but they give (in most cases):

Date of registration in school
Date of birth
Parent/Guardian name
Address

Note - I have seen DOB's as incorrect for some of my guys (I have birth certs), but addresses and parents names appear to be correct.

Hi Half a Sheep

Would be grateful if you could look up Plasnewydd dates for my mother Kate Mary Rickards. She was born in Maesteg on Christmas Day 1905 and they either lived in Temple St or Upper St. Plasnewydd was my old school too. Lots of good memories.

Her father is Artemus Rickards (awesome name), 11 Exchange Street. Her DOB is listed as 25/12/1906, and date of registration in the school was 29/04/1912
