Mitchells of Westmorland

I was wondering if any can help me out with any info on the Mitchell family pre-1841?

My 3x Great Grandfather was William Mitchell b: abt 1811. In 1841 he was living at Fellsides? with wife Margaret, dau Mary and son John.
In 1851 he was living in Capper Lane with with Margaret, dau's Mary and Elizabeth and sons John, William & Thomas (my 2x Great Grandfather).

Any info prior to this time would be fab!

What is his birthplace on the 1851 census?

There are 3 possible baptisms on the IGI - have you looked at them?

Well I have a dilemma now  haha
Upon looking on the IGI I have found a baptism for possibly my great great grandfather Thomas Robinson Mitchell (who I mentioned in my first post). It says his parents are Christopher and Jane not William & Margaret. Think I may have to try and get Thomas's marriage certificate and see what it says for fathers name.
Sorry to waste your time but its back to the drawing board I think!!!!
