William Thomas Green b1917 Stratford, Ontario

I wonder if anyone could assist me in finding out what happened to William Thomas Green born in 1917 in Stratford, Ontario and his wife Eva Wilson Cochrane/Green born in 1914 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
From the Nova Scotia website I know they got married on Christmas Day 1935 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
However from searches from a contact in Halifax the search has run cold making me think that they moved back to possibly live in Ontario again.
On the marriage record William's parents are listed as Thomas Green (born in Glasgow, Scotland) and what looks like Lea. So possibly on any mentions about them being deceased sometime after 1935 it might mention about William and Eva....
The only other information I have was that William was a soldier at the time of marriage and that Eva's mother who died in 1964 in her obituary it mentions that Eva had pre deceased her.
Any help would be great!

From other relations it appears that one of their children may have been called Shirley......dont know if this helps in any way.
Is there any website somewhere in Canada where you can search for death records from 1935 onwards so I can try and locate when Eva Wilson Green and William Thomas Green died?

I used to work in Stratford ON back in the mid-70s in a radiator manufacturing company. One of my co-workers there was a Thomas Green who worked in the engineering dept.. He would have been in his 40s back then so I suspect he has passed away by now. If I recall correctly, I think he said his family "hailed from the maritimes". I am just wondering if he may have been a descendant of your folks. You may want to contact the local library: http://www.stratford.library.on.ca/ or the county genealogy group there: http://search.informationperth.ca/record/PER0161 for your ancestors in Stratford. That would be a good start I think.

Hi Everyone
I'm still looking for Eva Cochrane/Green! 
I have finally found a date of birth for her - she was born on 4th September 1911 in Halifax, Canada
Does this help now find her?
She married if you recall on 25th December 1935 to William Thomas Green and died definately prior to 1964
From this initial post some years ago William at time of marriage was listed as 18 however with now finding Eva's birth date her age on her wedding was incorrect - she was listed on the marriage as being 21 when really she was 24.  Might William's for some reason also be incorrect and really he was 21 and born more around 1914?
Any help appreciated in locating what happened to her

Due to privacy laws, death registrations in Ontario are only currently available to about 1939/40 with a new year added annually.  Researching tends to rely on things like newspaper obits for info after this time.
