Birth Lookup - Which Parish?

I am trying to find a birth record for JOHN BROOM born about 1820, Chilcompton, Somerset.

I'm from Lancashire so have no knowledge of the area.  Would be grateful if someone could give me an idea of which parish records may be of use given he was born Chilcompton.

Have tried the usual places BMD's, Family Search etc. but no joy there.

Grateful for any help on this.  Thanks.

CHILCOMPTON, a parish in the hundred of Chewton, in the county of Somerset, 6 miles N.E. of Shepton Mallett, and 7 N.E. of Wells.

For records after 1837 etc I think Chilcompton comes under the district of Clutton.
