Ha ha you are so right, very confusing !!  This relative of mine has done a beautiful family tree on a colour poster but the problem is the information is FULL of errors.  The only thing I'm guessing is Mary wasnt too old when she died , I'm assuming she died !  The very strange thing is they have catherine dying in Canada !!  did odd to emmigrate age 70 !!  But at least one thing I do know is that Owen and brother Patrick defo did emmigrate, 1907, 1906.  The search continues.  Thank you

Hi,

I have just started doing my family tree. I found this post.

On the tree I have I have a John McDaid who married an Anne McKinney and then a Kitty Coyle. I have one son listed under Kitty as Mick.

Going back from John McDaid I have his father as William and mother Mary Kelly. They had John and two other sons (Cornelius and Dominick) and two daughters (Mary Anne and Sally)

I have no further back on Williams tree but Mary Kelly's parents were Cornelius (1806-1870) and Margaret (Peggotty) McDaid.

I can go back another generation on both sides of Cornelius and Margaret. Interestingly Cornelius's father Owen was married twice one of which was to an Annie McKinney!!!

These may be your relatives

Regards

Kevin

Cornelius father was Owen born 1780 and he was married twice.

Cornelius's wife Margaret was actually a McDaid and parents were John and Mary. They had 8 children in total 5 boys and 3 girls but I have no dates for them.

Hope this helps.

In amongst this thread I saw "John McGuire    Sarah McDaid".
Was that a marriage?
What year, county?
THANKS

Hi,  I don't know if you are still looking for info but I have been corresponding with Owen McDevitt/McDaids granddaughter from Butte.  Such a lovely lady.  As I can see any names here I'm not sure if it is her that is writing on this board.
