Hi Eimer

Think the lady you speak of is indeed my cousin. Don't know if you also are a McDevitt. Please feel free to contact me.

Hi Im not sure that this thread is still relevant and that the Owen MCDaid you refer to in earlier posts was correct, if so the Owen McDaid born 1883 to Mary Anne McKinney and John McDaid was probably named after her father Owen McKinney Upper Illies.  I am related to these McKinneys.

Hi,

I have just started doing my family tree. I found this post.

On the tree I have I have a John McDaid who married an Anne McKinney and then a Kitty Coyle. I have one son listed under Kitty as Mick.

Going back from John McDaid I have his father as William and mother Mary Kelly. They had John and two other sons (Cornelius and Dominick) and two daughters (Mary Anne and Sally)

I have no further back on Williams tree but Mary Kelly's parents were Cornelius (1806-1870) and Margaret (Peggotty) McDaid.

I can go back another generation on both sides of Cornelius and Margaret. Interestingly Cornelius's father Owen was married twice one of which was to an Annie McKinney!!!

These may be your relatives

Regards

Kevin

Hi Kevin,
I am wondering if we may have a connection. The Domnick you mention, was he married to Mary McCallion? If so it looks like you have my gggrandfather Domnick.
