A date, Gerry....well, since the ladies are almost completely covered up it's hard to say. The hats are the only clue really. I would venture a guess at around 1900 or so. The lady on the left is the more likely to be fashionable, and her hat style seems to be somewhere in between the tall narrow creations of the late 1880s and the very wide style of around 1910. So, late 90s, 1900ish?

I found a photo of what I think is the Kelly's Bar you mentioned, and it seems to be red brick all the way down to the ground.

Thanks again China, to be honest I really don't know a lot about the area it was just that I remember my mum saying something about a Kellys Bar where she used to get sent to find he Da.  All the other patrons used to give her pennies.  After I included that comment I realized the spelling would be a little unusual, Kelley, but found there were 279 in the 01 census, we're Irish, say no more, lol.  ::)  There was a Kelly, wine and spirit merchant in Scotch St in the area in 1911 but the street seems to be gone as I know the pub has, from a different source.

T'was just a thought, thanks anyway for the fashion advice, lol. ;D
