Apprenticeship records, 1830s-1840s
« on: Tuesday 29 November 11 23:39 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone know if any records of apprenticeships might survive from the late 1830s-1840s? From the 1841 census I know that my ancestor Henry Frecknall was an apprentice tailor in Norwell, Notts. He appears to have been apprenticed to William Cox. Henry was born in 1824 and married in 1846, so I suspect the apprenticeship began c.1839.

Thanks

Alexander

Hi Alexander,

I would think that an email to Nottingham Archive would be your best bet!  Always worth a shot.

Best wishes,
