Flemings in Tynan
« on: Thursday 01 December 11 22:58 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help :)
Looking for local info on my Gt, Gt, Gt, Gt, Grandfathers family. His name was George Fleming born 1780 in Tyan County Armagh. His father was John Fleming. He had children Thomas, George, Richard and Joseph born in Tyan but young George was born at Achelhugh Farm. The family moved to Scotland and I know what happened from there but i would love to know a bit more about where they came from and if there is any records. I have tried but i just go round in circles. His wife was a Margaret Henthorn seemingly from the same village. I think it was Killylea District and maybe Lislooney parish Church but I don't know. Any help much appreciated. Pat x

http://www.rootschat.com/links/01j2s/  is 1901 Census.  as you can see there are a few 'possibles'.
