Hi Sunnylyn,

Joyfulsue might need to make another post to enable their Personal Message (PM) facility but I suggest you try sending them a PM with your email address in case they can receive it. They you can exchange information more readily.

Congratulations on making a connection. :)

Sunnylyn and Joyfulsue - I'd be very interested in making contact with you as I think we could be connected via a daughter of George Thomson and Helen Leadbetter of Pine Hill, Dunedin.

This earlier thread might be of interest to you:

I have a marriage printout.  The bride says her mother's name is Catherine Thomson.  One of the witnesses is David Dickie of Elm Row, Dunedin.  He was the husband of Jeannie Thomson so was George Thomson's son-in-law.

Not sure if this adds anything but there is this Baptismal Record from Presbyterian Archives
http://www.archives.presbyterian.org.nz/baptismdatabase.htm

"     Orepuki Parish Baptisms 1899 to 1920          Parish Code 22/54
Please Note : Dates quoted may reflect the year of birth rather than the year of baptism.

FIVEASH     Athol Evan Joyce (Adopted)  1914 B22/54/1     "

There may be further information available  -

Information Recorded on the Original Rolls :
Full Roll entries may include all or some of the following (the amount of information recorded varies considerably) :

Full name of the child baptised
    Name of the Father
    Occupation of the Father
    Name of the Mother
    Full date of Baptism
The name of the Minister who performed the Baptism
The Baptism roll number in the register

Ordering Copies of the original Entries :

Please contact us with the details of the baptism in question. We will supply you with an official transcript of the certificate via email for a fee of $17.50. If you would prefer to receive a print out of the transcript we will discuss postage costs with you.
