I now know that Christina Moore and John Roberts married on 11th March 1924 at Somerville Memorial Church, Keppochill Rd, Glasgow.
I still don't know for sure when she came to Glasgow and my dad doesn't know either. Not a great deal to go on.

Did you get an official record of their marriage? as this would show her father's name and help tie her to the correct person when looking at the census returns, births and baptisms

There are a few possible Christine MOORES to look at just based on census returns
There are nine obvious possibilities on the 1911 census – LINK

Of which one was also on the 1901 census that I can see
Christina MOORE aged 2 years at # 406.1 in Upper Rathmines (Rathmines, Dublin) in 1901
And at # 1.3 in Church Place (Rathmines & Rathgar East, Dublin) in 1911
Parents Edward and Anne
1901 LINK & 1911 LINK

Christina MOORE aged 1 year at # 4.3 in Aungier Street (Royal Exchange, Dublin)
Parents Andrew and Charlotte La Jorine - 1901 LINK
Christina must have died between 1901 and 1911 as the six children alive are all listed – 1911 LINK

I cannot see in 1911
Christina MOORE aged 3 months at # 3 in Sutton North (Howth, Dublin)
Parents Patrick and Anne - 1901 LINK

Christina MOORE aged 6 years at #  3.1 in Ormond Circle (Inns Quay, Dublin)
Parents John E. C.  - 1901 LINK
There is a John MOORE in an orphanage of the correct age and Christina Moore in an Industrial School LINK which might be them

Also these families could have emigrated and last scenario - the family did emigrate before the 1901 census.

The marriage certificate should be your first point for searching as it will give you additional information  :)

Yes, I have the certificate from Scotlands People. It gives the mother and father as William Moore and Jane Anne Hoggan - or Hogan as it appears on the Irish census records that Dathai found.
I think Dathai has found the right family.

I can't thank you all enough for your help. I'm fine until I trace ancestors back to Ireland and it seems that all come from Ireland on both sides of the family.
I have, amongst others, Flynns (or O'Flynns), McGaugheys (or McGeacheys) and Dunbars. I seem to be stuck but will persevere before calling on you for help!
