If someone else comes along in a few years time looking for a James Pickles, then this thread could be of use to them.  It would be of even more use if you added his death so that they could perhaps eliminate him from their research, OR try and contact you if they are related to you.

I have a Pickles / Heaton marriage in 1843 of a couple from Haworth -- wonder if they are related?

Hannah Pickles (daughter of John Pighills/Pickles & Sarah Barraclough) married John Heaton (son of Abraham Heaton & Mary) on 22nd November 1843 at St Peter's Bradford

Hannah also had a brother named Heaton Pickles -- so was there another Heaton / Pickles connection somewhere?

My 3x great grandfather James Pickles was born on 5 March 1819 in Haworth, West Riding of Yorkshire, the son of William Pickes and his wife Sarah Naylor.

James died in Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire on 10 February 1868 as the result of an accident.

His wife was Mary Ann Pickles (maiden name Heaton) and they married on 13 September 1841 at the parish church in Keighley.

James' siblings were;

Susannah (1815)
Jennett (1822)
Betty (1829)
William (1829).  Don't know if he's Betty's twin or if the date I have for a joint christening.
William (1832).  I am assuming until I know otherwise that the first William died.
John Thomas (1834)
Mary (1840)

But with the coincidences of names, place and dates, I feel they must be related somehow
