Frederick Cane :

he was christened 23 July 1882 at St Marks Regents Park son of Richard a Mercantile clerk and Emma
their address was 8 Bernard Street
the entry denotes his birth as 22nd May 1882

the 1901 census shows Frederick (19) with his parents Richard (54) and E J (59) and younger siblings Herbert (17) and Louisa (15) at 2 Bridge Road Hampstead
they had 3 servants a governess a cook and a housing domestic
Richard was born just down the road from me in Rype [sic] Ripe Sussex !
Herbet was a student
Frederick was an assitant to his father a Bleaching ? manufacturer

1911 he is with AGnes Bertha as before

i cant spot him on earlier census :-\

Richard & Emma seemed to have had a number of children:

William bp. 20 Aug 1873 Hampstead St Saviour b. Feb 9 1873 Richard is a draper adress 148 Regents park Road
Emma bp. 19 April 1874 Primrose Hill Camden also 9 April 1874 at Hampstead St Saviour b. 29 Jan 184 fathers details as above
Richard bp. 18 April 1875 at both address 7 bernard street, richard father is a commercial traveller
Henry 30 July 1876 Hampstead St Stephen the Martyr deatils as above
Bessie 11 Nov 1877 ditto. 7 bernard street, richard is now a clerk
John 25 May 1879 do. 8 bernard street / clerk
Marchant 27 Feb 1881 St marks Regent Park b. nov 22nd 1880 . 8 bernard street mercantile clerk
Frederick 23 July 1882 ditto. as at top of page
herbert 9 march 1884 ditto. b. 26 Jan 1884 mercantile clerk / 8 bernard street
Louisa 12 July 1885 ditto. b. 29th may 1885 8 bernard street / mercantile clerk

its interesting to see how Richard moved up in the worked from commerical traveller to mercantile clerk and could afford servants and the like

going from 7 bernard street to no. 8 bernard street doesnt mean they moved next door it may mean that another house was built next to number 1 or something thus renumbering the whole street. these days we would just use 1a 1b

Possible death for Alice Mary Clarke (nee Goodhall), for Mar qtr 1888, Hendon 3a 127

Which would then lead to a marriage between George Clarke and Clara Garrett in Jun qtr 1889, Pancras 1b 224

If this is correct, it would mean that Agnes is Alice's daughter rather than Clara's daughter.
