John DAVIDSON born abt 1871 Glasgow Lanarkshire
Charles DAVIDSON born abt 1873 Glasgow Lanarkshire
Alexander DAVIDSON born abt 1875 Glasgow Lanarkshire.

There is this 1881 entry for Argyll - all Davidson children b Glasgow

Their parents were Charles and Catherine, I am hoping these children I found on A* index may be them as the dob's all fit.

So this marriage would fit

Hi Caarole

The Argyll entry looks promising as they had a son born 31 Mar 1867, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, and yes that that is their marriage.  I know that Charles had died by 1900 when he was listed as deceased on his son's Alexander Henderson DAVIDSON marriage certificate.

I can't find them in 1871 to check Charles details

By the way  I forgot to mention in my previous posting, father Charles DAVIDSON was listed as deceased profession seaman merchant service on his son's marriage certificate.

I've searched the 1871 just using son David and also using just Cath**

They must have been in Lanarkshire in 1871 but I have used a general search as well without success
