« on: Thursday 29 December 11 04:42 GMT (UK) »
I'm searching for any info on my gg grandfather and 4 of his siblings that were baptised in Isleham, Cambridgeshire in 28 June 1846.They were all baptised on the same day.There names were Charles Eden, Eliza Eden, Robert Eden, Thomas Eden and John Eden. Their parents were John Eden and Eunice Woodgate. can anyone help me with the name of the church??

Thanks rosie99 and JenB. It's just taken me 10 minutes to figure out how to respond to your reply.
I'm such a beginner to all this.
I'm after any little piece of info I can get.
I was particularly interested in which church as I recently found my GG grandfathers headstone and was surprised to see a 2 star of david symbols on the headstone. I was wondering as to the religion of the baptisms. We have always been C of E. His parents were married in an a URC church in Long Melford so I was wondering were the jewish connection was or if that symbol on a headstone could mean anything else.
I thankyou for your help.
If I've responded in the wrong way I'd appreciate you telling me the correct procedure
Sue

Absolutely nothing wrong with your response  :)  We are really friendly on here and I am sure you will find yourself addicted like the rest of us. It helps if you let us know what you are after ie census/bmd as it saves us duplicating what you already know.  ;)

The Star of David symbolises Divine Protection:
http://www.graveaddiction.com/symbol.html
(symbols are in alphabetical order, so scroll down to S for Star  :))

or this meaning:

Star: birth; life; Christ

Star, five pointed: Star of Bethlehem:
star of Jacob; divine guidance and protection

Star, six pointed: the Father; Creation;
heavenly wisdom
