The daughter of Albert & Gertrude born 1927 may have taken the step-father's name.

Gertrude JAMESON (nee Smith, formerly COYNE) charged her second husband with desertion in 1936.

In a message to me you said you didn't know if Amy Fleetwood emigrated with her parents Thomas Luke Edward FLEETWOOD & Amy Sarah ROOK.
As I can see Amy & her parents in the 1871 census but not the 1881 it can only be assumed they arrived between those years.

1871 Census:

Amy Fleetwood 23yrs
Amy Fleetwood 2yrs

Her mother Amy Sarah remarried after Thomas died:

Thanks Merlin for all your researching,I can't beleive you have found so much,I did find the missing newspaper article at one stage ,but discounted it at the time,it was before I found out Amy was married before Thomas Coyne came along.I hope I can find out more about her in the future,I have attached a photo of this wayward lady who has given you the run around,I don't think I would have liked to cross her in her day by her photo,she looks very stern.

Hi Everyone
I am back again I have been going through the posts and Wivenhoe ask me a question in Reply #14 that said  "This marriage is hard to see in the index,Did Albert Edward use another name?Only Gertrude for wife's name."for some reason this question I over looked,is it possible for someone to look at this again as,I have been in contact with a lot of decendents and we all think it is possible that Tom Coyne was not born Tom Coyne and he changed his name for some reason,and Albert Edward just may of used his fathers real name.Just a thought as there seems to be no BMD for Thomas or his parents,with the exception of Thomas death cert.

Yes Merlin,I was just wondering if there was two marriage entry's in different names,like some of the births,which there are two entries in different names for the same person.
