Hello and WELCOME to RootsChat 'aislabie'

As well as the above suggestions, may I suggest that you have a play with the names, and initials and names, of persons of interest in PapersPast.

It's best to limit results by setting some time zones for searching, but not restricting to the area of interest news papers. Papers printed 'news' from near and far. You just may get lucky.

PS. If AISLABIE is the name you are researching there is plenty of material on these two sites

AISLABIE  = 67 hits. Most being from Gisborne, Rotorua, Waihi & up to Auckland.

http://archway.archives.govt.nz/SimpleSearch.do?keyword=aislabie

AISLABIE = 4636 hits. A lot of hits in the  Poverty and Hawkes Bay press to refine/search through. Includes many passenger lists on ship movements.

Hi Aislabie

Are you connected at all with the Aislabie family in NZ, originating from John Hodson/Hodgson Aislabie?

Cheers
