I am a descendant of John NICHOLLS grandfather of William NICHOLLS b 1818 Cornwall d 1900 New Zealand m Hera Te WHAKAAWA.   I am interested in any info on this family.

Rather than repeat all the same info, it would be easier if you then list what the problem areas are
Any gaps
any info that is not right from your own findings
then we can go from there

From reading the posts you suggested I have info on William NICHOLLS family in Cornwall that other people seem to be having trouble finding but I know very little about the family in NZ. 

I don't know any of the researchers in the posts.

I don't get the impression Althea is suggesting that you have info on William Nicholls.

The links were put up because as Althea said, other people are researching and might be able to help you fill in the gaps. Links are put up, to save us doubling on information that has already been found.   You may not the know the researchers, but if you put your heads together, you might find that you are connected to each other.

I am new to the chat rooms.   The basics are I have been researching the NICHOLLS for years but have never been able to find anything on the family in NZ all I know is William NICHOLLS married Hera Te WHAKAAWA I don't know when they had 5 children the names I am unsure of or any other info.   So I would be grateful of any help.      Somewhere I read that someone was having trouble tracing Obadiah NICHOLLS (father of William NICHOLLS) family and I have info on them

We all know what it is like to be a newbie to genealogy forums, we are a friendly bunch of people on here, and there are some terrific researchers on RC   Sometimes a researcher doesn't answer straight away, that doesn't mean they don't have info, it probably means that either they are away on holiday, or haven't been near their computer for a couple of days.

For me, I am closing down for the night as it is late here.
