Hello there- Thanks for the reply. My husband is the grandson of Robert Thomson Smith who lived with Maggie and Kate as a child. He was illegitimate and seems to have been "adopted" by Maggie and Kate's parents- Henry and Rosina McPhillamy and lived with them in Perth. He later changed his name to Stevens which was Rosina's maiden name. He had 2 sons and a daughter when he was married and living in Glasgow. His youngest son was Bruce - my father in law. Bruce sadly died some years ago and he and his niece remember Aunty Maggie and Aunty Kate at their house so there must have been a link.
If you PM me we can exchange email addresses. I have a tree on Ancestry. I have also been in touch with Steve O'Leary descended from Henry's son Henry!

Thanks great - yes Kate was my grandmother.  I don't think I have private message available yet. I have pictures of Kate but none ok Maggie - my mum will have them.
