Coote's of Radwinter Essex
« on: Monday 09 January 12 01:01 GMT (UK) »
Hi All

I haven't been posted for two years but very happy to say that I have found so much info on my Coote Family.

Would love to know if there are any Coote's who live in Radwinter who would like to chat.

Hullo and good to have you back.

Have you checked the Surnames list on rootschat to see if other members are looking for Cootes?  Top pf this page, 4th button from left Surnames.

Thanks for the suggestion. Question for you - how can I change my email address. My wife & I were sharing this address but now I have my own and would like to unsubscribe from * & subscribe using *.

Many thanks

John

Just realized I missed a letter in my new email address. Maybe I wasn't supposed to make my email address known. If this is so then I do apologize, but couldn't find a way of changing it.

John, best youremove from public view all email addresses... do it right now lest you get spam and other unwanted stuff.

Don't know how you'd alter your email address for RC privately unless there is a place on your profile to do that.

Sorry not to be more helpful.

Hullo again... think I've got the answer for you.

Go to your profile... that is, click on the little face that is under your avatar on LHS of any of your posts.  Then when you get to your profile, click on the one again on lhs of page that is called members profile settings...or words to that effect.  Thereshould be your old email address which you can alter.

You'll haveto use your RC password to alter things.

clear as mud? ::)

Hi Big John,

I don't live in Radwinter but I do have in my tree two Coote families who lived in Radwinter.

Henry & Elizabeth Coote who had 11 (known) children all baptised in Radwinter 1665 to 1681.

William & Elizabeth Coote who had 5 (known) children all baptised in Radwinter 1701 to 1707.

The two generations in my Coote line following those two couples lived and raised families in Shalford.

Ring any bells?

Regards.

Hi findem

Re Coote's of Radwinter - I haven't gotten back that far as yet, still in the 1800's but will contact you if & when I do. Shalford does not ring a bell at the moment.
