Andy

Have you tried local directories, perhaps as a Hatter he had his own business?

I've tried looking at Wills, but so far no luck.

I did find another Samuel Morris born Atherstone, but he was married to a Edith Annie Smith in 1889 and born 1870. He was a Felt Hat Shaper and died in the 30's but I cannot find a death for Ann so blows that out a bit.

As you say, very frustrating ??? I will have another go with the emmigration records

Many thanks for keeping up the search Lottie.

I have tried many avenues, for many years but, so far have drawn a blank.

It is amazing how they just "disappeared" when in the uk, record keeping was getting better!

. . . . but that is not possible is it?

Perhaps one day?

Andy
The main names that I am researching into at the moment are Cadman,(originating from Bulkington, Warwickshire), Smedley, (Leicestershire and Derbyshire), Paynes (Leicestershire, Yorkshire and Derbyshire) and Udall - you will also find several other names on my web page. I look forward to E-Mails from anyone who would like to share or talk about our family history.
