1871 Census
« on: Monday 16 January 12 20:55 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I am trying to find an Arthur Redwood born 1852 Battersea in the 1871 Census. He is not living with his family and I have tried many different cominbations of first name and surname to find him. In 1872 he married his wife Emma in Lincolnchire, where he is shown as a Pawnbroker and in 1881 Census he is living in Wandsworth as a Furniture Dealer.

Many thanks

David :D

Hi

Just put in his first name, birth year +/- 2 and Lincolnshire and went from there... read down the list of Arthur's finding those not born in Lincolnshire that came up and saw him... checked his occupation and that was it really.

Cheers

David

Sounds simple but it takes a bit of trawling to do it that way.  Sometimes it helps to put in less information rather than more......
