Isobel Irene Maggi was my grandmother, although her father always called her Dina. There was also another sister ( I think called Dorothy Kate) from Lawrence's first marriage. When Lawrence's first wife died, the older sister was sent to live with a relative in Whitchurch,( could this be aunt Jess?) but Isobel never saw her again. Arthur was Isobel's half brother. They were very close as children
The marriage between Lawrence and Laura resulted in separation, Isobel stayed with Lawrence and Arthur with his mother. My mother remembered visiting the Blakemore family in Usk as a child. One of the Blakemore's ( I think Lawrence's mother or father-in-law was the toll-keeper on the bridge over the river and lived in the toll-keeper's house opposite the bridge. My mother remembered staying in the Three Salmons hotel when visiting the family and continued to enjoy lunches there throughout her life.
Isobel married and had three children, Margherita,(b 1923) Patricia, (b.1927) and Grahame (b. 1935). In her early married life they lived in Kerne Bridge, near Ross, but then moved to Bridgend where her husband established a successful business. Both daughters died in 2013. Graham survives. He spent his working life in Canada and now lives in France with his wife.
Hope this is helpful
