It looks as if I have made it this time
I have a fair bit of info on the Boys Family but am getting gaps in my own line.
If someone has details of the Molash parish aera it would help

Dave

I have most of the Parish records of Deal & Walmer where there are several Boys listed. I know it's not Molash but people did move about.

AJ

Thanks AJ
at the moment my immediate family line seem to be centered around Godmersham and the ajoining parishes, if it looks like straying out to Deal or Walmer then I would appreciate your help.

I have this book "Under 37 Kings" all about the Boys Family leading up to 1066 but I cannot see what branch my line follows on to ones in the book.  It is thought to be of the Willesborough branch but so far I cannot make the connection.
 Regards
Dave

Hi Dave,

I was interested to read this post as one of my ancestors, Lawrence Banks, lived at Boys Hall, Willesborough in the late 1700's to early 1800's. As the name of the house suggests it was owned by the Boys family. If you happen to have any mentions of the Banks family in your research I would be most interested.

Regards
Bean

Hi All,

I have interests in the Boys family of Kent as well.

My line starts with Mary Boys bap 29 Jun 1698 Herne. She married Gibbon Rammell 26 Feb 1718 St George the Martyr, Canturbury & was buried 26 May 1782 Tilmanstone.

Her parents were Edward Boys b1674 Kingston, d1700 Tilmanstone and Mary Ewell 1673-1759. Edward & Mary were married 8 Nov 1696 Herne.

Edward's parents were Robert Boys 1642 - 1705 Betteshanger & Mary Friend 1636 Northbourne - 1709.

Robert's parents were Herbert Boys 1590-1631 & Mary Bassocke.

This line goes back to John Boys born circa 1400 Goodnestone.

Regards,

Gillian

Hi Dave and welcome and Hi Gillian

I also have a Boys connection. Like Gillian I have got Robert Boys and Mary Friend in my tree but that is as far as I have got. Unlike Gillian, my link comes through their daughter Ann Boys who marries John Matson. So if anyone has any further information I would be grateful

Many thanks
Jackie  ;)

Hi Jackie,

I have been in contact with Boys/Matson descendents. Doverrog has posted messages on this site concerning the Matson family. Search for Maston in the Kent pages & you'll find his posts.

I have also been in contact with Linda who is descended from John Matson & Anne Boys. I'll send you her details by personnal message.

Regards,

Gillian
