Hi Tim
Her death sadly aged only 45yrs, gives a middle name of Remy.
Just posting this as it could help finding her birth/baptism.
Good luck with your search.

I see from a post elsewhere that you have Fanny's middle name and mention John Kenny's address as  Lismore House, Earl Court, Galway from Fanny's obituary.

Have you researched this information?
when you say John Kenny's first wife was Susan - did he have another marriage?

Griffiths Valuation for Clonfert Parish has Henry and John Kenny at Lismore Demesne and there is this information about that:
Lismore

Susan Kenny was at Lismore House in 1881

I have Frances Kenny as the daughter of John Kenny (c1807-1887) of Lismore House, Eyrecourt, Co. Galway, Ireland (son of Henry Kenny and Sarah Geraghty) and Jane Susan Finney (c1808-1881) of  Eyrecourt, Co. Galway, Ireland, daughter of Richard Finney (b. c1770) and Frances Browne (b. c1773).

John Kenny and Jane Susan Finney are thought to have had the following children but due to the destruction of Irish records in Dublin it is difficult to confirm whether this information is correct.
-  Henry c1825-1870
-  Sarah c1828-1874 married James Johnston
-  Frances c1830-1875 married John Bailey
-  Richard c1832-1897
-  Thomas
-  John
-  Susan c1839 married John Johnston
-  George c1840 married Frances Fitzroy
-  Stephen c1852-1880

Death records show Fanny as Fanny Remy Bailey but there is no record of the name Remy elsewhere and it is more likely that the name was actually Fanny Kenny Bailey.

I am interested to know the birth dates for John Bailey.  Most researchers show him as the convict b. c1793 but I have him as the son of Samuel Bailey and Sarah Pantry born 1818 in Bilsington, Kent and dying 26 Nov 1883 in Green Ponds, Tasmania and this is consistent with the naming of their son as Samuel Pantry Bailey.

Hi Anna ,

thank you for that excellent information
John Bailey and Fanny Remy Kenny were married in Melbourne 18 Oct 1854
Their marriage certificate listed Johns parents as Samuel Bailey and Sarah Pantry

As you are probably aware there are so many Bailey men with the same age marring women with the same names or similar, this is where the confusion comes in.

We have no idea why they were in Melborne, i looked at the BDM records there as when Fanny died the Tasmanian papers asked the Victoria papers to run the death notice

thanks again

Tim Cordwell

Annafinney I am researching the descendants of Henry Kenny, son of Henry Kenny and Sarah Geraghty. Do you have any more information about Henry senior and Sarah? Were they from Eyrecourt or did they end up there from somewhere else? Without church records I am really stuck. How many children did they have? I only know about them because a family member told me but they have not further information.
