John Griffiths, Grocer, Welshpool, 1820 ish

I am trying to find out any information about my 3rd great grandfather,John Griffiths, who was a grocer in Welshpool, like his son, also John Griffiths. I think he was born about 1792, but have no further information except that I think he died before 1939 as his name was on his son's marriage certificate but he was not present.

Are you able to provide some marriage certificate details? I have a Great grandfather named John Griffiths who was born either 1821 or 1827 and married in 1850 to Charlotte Reece. On his marriage certificate he has a father named John Griffiths but that's all I have. Locations are a bit hazy, still investigating ...

Thanks for replying. I wrote that a long time ago! but still don't know much more.
My second great grandfather, John Griffiths married Mary Ann Goolden in Montgomery in 1839 so don't think it can be the same family. It's such a common name in Wales so difficult to find things and be sure that they are the correct family.
