James Stark and Barbara Young, Fossoway 1800's
« on: Saturday 28 January 12 22:51 GMT (UK) »
Does anone have any information on my GGGG Grandparents James Stark and Barabara Young, who were born in Fossoway c.1804 & 1810 respectively.  I am specifically looking for their birth, mariage and details of parents?

Hi Rosehill,

Birth & marriage records are proving elusive.  However Scotlands People have Barbara's death cert. which should at least give her parents' names, and also show if James pre-deceased her or not:

Barbara Stark, other surname: Young.  Died 1868 Fossoway, Kinross.  Birth year: 1810.

Regards,
brigyn

Hi all  :)

One online tree has Barbara's parents as John Young and Agnes Bisset
also James stark parents James Stark and Janet Weir

James Stark may have died 1873 Clackmannanshire

As Brigyn suggests the death certs. should provide parents names
