Unfortunately I did not know she was Nathan's wife, going on your original post, so have been searching fruitlessly for a Birth/Marriage/ Death of an Ellen Pendle!!

Yes its been a nightmare with both the mother and daughter, I do apologise for any confusion  :(  but i seem to know a bit more about them now, and can quite happily say i have their births and deaths dates, but since the Pendles seemed to have pretty large families the John Pendle born 1835, there was 11 members of that family living in one small house its hard to imagine. I'm not sure if the Daughter Ellen (b.1891) ever got married as i can't find anything on Ancestry

Hello, just found this while web browsing and now you have me interested. I am a Suffolk Pendle, living in Canada for three generations now  Here's a few names, I'll have to look up dates. My Grandfather Franklin was the youngest son of Arthur ( I believe my oldest uncle was named after him, but not 100% sure) Pendle. I only ever heard Father or mother, so....His mother died in one of the flu epidemics after ww1. He had a brother David and a brother Donald , I believe, who my father was named for. He had a much younger sister ( Bertha?) from a second marriage. He immigrated to Canada in 1930 at age 16, I believe. I remember they had a pub and house in Framlingham, Grandfather used to play at the castle(?) Look forward to hearing from some of my cousins,       Clint
