Correct. But you don't have to get an extract.

You buy 30 credits for £7. You use one credit to find the index entry, and 5 to view a digital image of the certificate. Total cost £1.40. And you still have 24 credits left,  which will get you another 4 images of either statutory birth, marriage or death certificates, or census records, or pre-1855 baptism or marriage records.

Alberbury, your are right, it is £12 for the extract...however...I know, sad, always, nevertheless...you need some credits to be able to order the image direct via Scotlands People, otherwise it is £15 direct via the GROS to order the extract
