Ryans of Cashel
« on: Wednesday 08 February 12 01:08 GMT (UK) »
My GGGrandmother Mary Ann Ryan with her sister  Briget  from Cashel arrived in NSW Australia in 1849 aboard the Lady Peel as famine orphans. Their Parents James and Mary ( nee Carroll) listed as both dead.James was a dairyman
I am after any further information on this family.
Mary Ann married a John Flood in Sydney in 1852.

are you sure that the civil parish of Cashel in Co. Longford that your Ryans came from ?

more usually if people stated that they came from 'Cashel' they are referring to the town in Co. Tipperary.

I, too have Ryans from Cashel. A baptismal certificate for Ann Ryan, daughter of Stephen Ryan and Kate O'Malley in 1941 is in the Diocese of Cashel and parish of Cappamore which is in Limerick.

Hello warrawillah

I am very sorry but your message to natjb has sadly bounced back to us, it looks like she may have changed email address but sadly we do not know what it is.

I did do a little search but I could not find the correct lady.

Old members do log in all the time, I hope that this will be the case here.

Regards

Sarah
