George Geary 1861-1935 Wilstead BEDS

I am looking for any information on the burial of George Geary, died 1935 in Wilstead, or his mother, Pamela Geary d 1887 Wilstead.

I am trying to organise the interment of a Geary relative's ashes in Wilstead, but I am having to do it from Australia. It is very frustrating.

Cross post at http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,580855.msg4325852.html#msg4325852 states that the vicar of Wilstead cannot trace a burial plot of Pamela Geary.

As you seem to be in contact with the obvious person, did he comment on George Geary?

If you draw a blank you could always just arrange for the ashes to be scattered generally in Wilstead churchyard, if that's allowed.

This is not my family; it is the family of a friend. I was concerned that maybe I had the wrong church. I think there is only one Anglican church in Wilstead, but wasn't sure. It is a bit difficult trying to do this from so far away.

  it has the following listings for All Saints Wilstead
  burials  register number 1059 Pamela Geary buried 5 Jan 1887 aged 58 abode Wilstead file no. 11635
                                      1568 George Geary buried 15 April 1935 aged 73 abode Bedford fil no. 11635
  so is it just the plot that cannot be identified?

The Beds FHS has the Monumental Inscriptions from Wilstead All Saints as transcribed by De Montfort University 1982-88. If these gravestones were found & transcribed the document might provide the location of the burials. I can check out this at our next meeting on 2nd March. The Wilstead PRs & the Mon Insc transcript are on a PR CD available from the BFHS
